The Nizam Sugar Factory is one of the largest sugar companies in the country. It has three operating units, two at Shakarnagar, Nizamabad Dist. and one at Madhunagar, Medak Dist. with a total installed crushing capacity of 5500 T.C.D. The fourth unit with a capacity of 1250 T.C.D.is being commissioned at Miryalguda, Nalgonda Dist. during 1976 - 77 sugar season.

The Company has recently entered the field of manufacture of boiling house equipments for sugar factories and has successfully executed orders for Bhimasingi Co-operative Sugar Factory and its own unit at Miryalguda. Orders are on hand for the supply of boiling house equipments for six new Co-operative factories being set up in Andhra Pradesh.

This premier public sector undertaking of the State in the agro-processing sector has functioned as the dynamo of industrial activity and the basis of agricultural prosperity in the districts in which it operates.
